You will drive the implementation of Commodity Procurement Strategy providing support and guidance for the procurement commodity and management teams. Externally, you will work in close cooperation with our suppliers building the global network of strategic partnership. Job Responsibilities • You as our future Global Commodity Buyer will be responsible for supporting the development and alignment to our commodity strategy with strategic sourcing to maximize GKN value and reporting to the Global Commodity Manager. • You will engage actively in the commodity team to meet or exceed objectives including: sourcing, cost savings, working capital, supplier quality, supplier footprint optimization and other agreed objectives. • Take the lead when required for commodity activities in coordination with costing and engineering to drive a competitive advantage for GKN Aerospace. • Actively engage in the development of commodity strategies. • Ensure leveraging synergies across the GKN Aerospace global network. • Lead sourcing projects including building of RFQ/RFI/RFP packs, negotiation, contracting, as well as working with process engineers or others with cost analyses.
Din profil
- Minimum 3 years of experience from Commodity Management and sourcing. • Experience in implementing industry leading best practices. • Project management experience. • Communication skills – including first class reporting techniques. • Commercial, negotiation and financial skills. • Open and honest approach. Desirable • University degree or equivalent. • Commodity experience with 2-3 years in Aerospace industry. • To have fulfilled senior positions outside of Supply Chain / Procurement within the Aerospace industry.
