Departmental Overview
People and Culture Central Services provides central support to the HR function for Data Reporting and Analysis, Data Management and Security, HR Data and Records Management, Automation including APIs and RPA, and Compliance through our team of technical, data, and business analysts along with our HR Data and Records teams.

Responsibilities
This position is responsible for developing reporting and conducting analysis in various areas within the HR Function. Additionally, this role will develop data integrations, lead various data acquisition projects and upgrades, and collaborate with others to design, develop and implement Tableau Dashboards and Reports applying a broad knowledge of HR-related matters.
Leads a small group of data analysts and represents the team in campus-wide and system-wide data analytics meetings.
Applies professional and broadly defined business analysis and data/information administration and data use concepts to manage and perform complex assignments.
Develops full data/information documentation for highly complex small and medium size projects.
Provides analyses for complex budget, funding, financial, and human resources data, systems, and resource projects working directly with internal and external constituents.
Independently analyzes complex information requirements and documents them using formal data definition techniques, naming standards, and value domain descriptions.
Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes information from subject matter experts and technical personnel. Researches relevant problem-domain literature and information standards and develops recommendations for data management resource plans, including approaches, trends, sources, and uses.
Documents ownership, custody, and access requirements for data subject areas.
Proposes, leads, and/or participates on policy, strategy, technical, and planning committees and working groups.
Implements related business processes, develops logical data models, dimensional data models, and schemas for the scope of a project or a component of a project.
Develops data mapping specifications and dimensional models for data subject areas (HR).
Independently or collaboratively with IT, designs information transformation processes.
Designs and implements capture of metadata from technical processes such as software design and database management.
Performs complex data management or resource research and studies for a variety of constituents and plans metadata acquisition for sets of unstructured data objects such as collections of images, documents or recordings.
Leads and directs a wide variety of projects and follows through with all levels of staff and individuals inside and outside the organization.

Education and Training:
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Required Qualifications

Familiarity with data model patterns in one or more common business or academic domains.
Familiarity with logical data design and data mapping or data conversion.
Familiarity with data quality and governance issues and requirements.
Ability to represent relevant information in abstract models and through data reporting.

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $82,400.00 - $116,900.00
This is an exempt, monthly paid position. This is a full-time, Career appointment. This position is eligible for 100% remote capacity..
