About the role:
Working within a crew on installation, modification, repair or replacement of manholes, valve pits, overflow structures, pump station pipe work, pipes, valves and fittings in accordance with plans, specifications and standards as required to provide customers with continuity of water supply and sewer disposal services.

About you:
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:
  • Proficient use small of plant and power tools.
  • Able to proficiently perform manual labouring tasks including manual excavation.
  • Asbestos handling safety awareness.
  • Quick cut training.
  • Knowledge of different pipe systems and how they are assembled.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans.
  • Knowledge of hygiene standards applicable to working with potable water.
  • Knowledge of traffic management principles.
  • Awareness of set out and surveying.
  • Knowledge of Risk Assessment Processes.
  • Knowledge of construction and maintenance activities for water and waste water assets and infrastructure.
  • C Class Drivers License.
