Purpose
The primary function is to lead coordination and collaboration of required logistics and planning activities in the region to ensure success of the region business objectives of order fulfillment, logistics efficiency and inventory turns.
Key Responsibilities

Establish regional objectives for:

Logistic efficiency. This includes implementation of effective routing guides, management of logistic spend and working with carriers to launch new routes, as necessary.- Inventory within the region to support order fulfillment objectives. This includes coordinating with region OTR teams to match their shipment plans with our material plans, coordinate with the planning team to ensure high material productivity.
- Warehousing efficiency. This position will work with our local 3PLs to develop service levels that meet the fulfillment requirements of the region
- Participate on region leadership team calls and operating reviews to represent the Planning and Logistics organization and translate region business needs to action plans and timelines.
- Lead the execution of these actions to achievement of region goals
- Interface regularly with 3PL provider of our warehouse (s) to maintain high levels of service
- Translate corporate level initiatives back to the region, showing impact and benefits to that region.
- Lead the effective implementation of corporate level initiatives toward both corporate goals and region goals.
- Manage, track and report on the status of ongoing projects and KPIs.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Significant experience in a Logistics, Warehousing, ITC, or operations leadership role.
- APICS and/or Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISM) certification.
- SAP experience / knowledge preferred to include materials management processes and the management of data.
- Bachelor’s degree in materials management, engineering, logistics, supply chain or other associated field.
- Proven project management experience with global implications
- Experience with distribution planning to support complex order fulfillment strategies
- Strong communication skills
- Strong leadership and influencing capability
- Drive a culture that fosters learning, collaboration with a strong focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.
Travel Requirements: 20% with variability in timing and frequency
Training: APICS CPIM and/or CSCP Certification preferred
